Sewer lines from the house to the street are typically between 50 to 150 feet in length, and can be buried, in some cases, up to 8 feet deep.

Knowing the condition of the buried sewer line between your home and the street can save you a major headache in the long run. Roots, vehicle traffic, even fence posts driven in place by uncle Bob, can all damage buried sewer lines, leading to seepage into the soil adjacent to your home—or worse—a clog, and sewage backing up into your home.

Sewer Scoping consists of photographing the interior of the sewer line that runs from the home to the municipal sewer main, starting from the home’s main cleanout. We record any anomalies, as well as the general condition of the pipe, and deliver the results to you in a detailed, high-quality written report. Sewer Scoping is included in our standard Septic Inspection package.
